I'm impressed by Eyewitness Travel this time. I've been finding a lot of their boots to be just another book they threw out there to make money. This Myanmar [Burma] guide actually contained a lot of information, however, this country is rapidly changing, so a lot of the information might be outdated. You can easily set up tours when you get into the country and that's probably the best way to see the country. This book will give you a general idea of what you'll see. There is a lot of information that is also left out or there's only a very small section on certain places that deserve to get more than just a paragraph or two. As always, I'm greatly disappointed with their food recommendations. All the places listed are pretty much touristy places and they also only listed a few places. Eyewitness needs to have a bigger section for food recommendations. Even though I'm bashing on this book, I gave it four stars because it contained enough information for me to go off of to plan out my trip in greater detail.
Great for planning. Myanmar (or Burma) is still opening it self to the world, so things are changing there very quickly.This is the standard DK guide with beautifull pictures and not so good recommendations of hotels and restaurants (always on the $$$$$$ side).
Covers Myanmar (aka Burma) in detail with superb drawings of the temples and layouts. It will be the reference book that I will keep.

Very good book for sorting out travels n Myanmar. We went in April 2016 and most information was still accurate other than accommodations of which there are more options now. We had a driver for the 10d that was able to book accommodation for for us.
As represented. Happy with the product. Perfect for planning the trip.
